I have been very fortunate to have had many incredible music teachers in my lifetime. When I decided to start my own music studio, I thought a lot about what was important to me as a student, and about who I wanted to be as a teacher. My primary goal as a music teacher is to foster a love of music in my students, and to develop that love in a manner that will afford them a lifetime of musical enjoyment. I believe that each student is unique, so I focus on flexibility in my studio. My lesson plans are tailored to each individual, with priorities targeted at maintaining a high level of excitement, accomplishment, and education. First and foremost, music lessons should be fun, and not intimidating. While I stress the importance of practice and structure in order to learn and advance, my primary concern is always that students leave a lesson feeling positive and happy about their time with me. I have experience with students ranging from age 5 to 70, and I enjoy having a diverse group of budding musicians in my studio!
